The Mike Loutfie Foundation teams up with Agri North-West to pack another powerful punch in the fight against Covid-19 hunger devastation.
On Thursday 27 August 2020, the Mike Loutfie Foundation and Agri North-West will distribute 15 tonnes of fresh produce to communities needing immediate food relief in Coligny, Lichtenburg, Zeerust and Groot-Marico.

The Mike Loutfie Foundation as part of the Agri SA, Yara Africa Fertilizer food relief sponsorship, will partner with the RSA Group to facilitate the sourcing, packing and distribution of healthy food parcels that will include fresh potatoes, tomatoes, carrots, oranges and apples.
Local communities in need have been identified and the foundation and Agri North-West will ensure the distribution of the fresh produce to the relevant communities.
“In the North-West province, several communities are suffering from a severe food shortage due to the influence of the Covid-19 restrictions and the poor economic conditions”, said Boeta du Toit, Chief Executive Officer of Agri North-West.
“The benevolent food aid provided is vital for many needy people. Agri North-West expresses its sincere thanks and appreciation to all the donors and everyone who contributed to logistical assistance for the distribution of this food aid,” he added.
“We are proud to be a part of the Agri SA, Yara Africa Fertilizer food relief projects and to partner with Agri North-West and the RSA Group in order to directly assist vulnerable communities by providing them with immunity-boosting fresh produce.”
